How do I put this, This is not the next Avengers. This is a group of mercenaries that just happened to team up after they were sent to eliminate each other. The only true superhero is Bob. And he well, just Magneto with depression issue. If that is not a problem for you then the movie is pretty good. This movie is filled with multiple battle scenes that keeps you engaged. the jokes tend to fall flat though. The overall storyline is good with great character development. We find that the main enemy is a power hungry politician that is under investigation. the second enemy is depression.
As much as I like seeing mental health issues represented, this does it in a bad way. It makes mental health something people should see as a public issue that is a danger to everyone. Even though mental health can lead into negative actions, this just makes people with these problems feel as they are a risk to others for just having depression. I feel that this is the second big issue I have with the movie but that is about all I have with issues.
The overall acting is great but the humor can be a little flat. There are jokes that just felt like the they were meant to be weird and not actually funny. I would definitely give the humor a 2 star rating it was just not that good. The image quality and CGI was what you expect from a Marvel movie. You felt like you were in the movie and it seemed very realistic.
My overall view of the movie is that it was good and had many opportunities to be a great movie but I feel it lacks of the creativity side. Would I watch it again absolutely. The movie had great scenes that are now permanently installed in my memory. I truly liked the movie even for it flaws. It had a story that was different from the normal Marvel movie and it was a good change.
If this movie had better jokes and if Bob could have been less of a Magneto I would easily given this a 4.5/5 stars. But unfortunately there is no perfect movie, so I will be giving this a 4/5 stars. Eric only gave this a 3.5/5 stars. I would really recommend watching the review on YouTube/@vierthalerstudios. I feel this was a great movie and I really like the change even though I will never see this new team as the new Avengers.
